Restaurants, activities like Horseback-Riding, Souvenir shops, and Intramuros itself, all being consumed by the corporate world. Yes it would cost money to visit your own history but its understandable nonetheless. Other than the idea that the money taken from entrance fees, I would think would be of use for the protection of the said historical place. It instills to its tourist the feeling and vibe of them being in that specific place and time. Consuming history and its meanings would nonetheless be worth-it. The peace you get once the sun sets is also something priceless considering the view it freely gives and the ambience it makes individuals feel.
Intramuros also lets its visitor consume certain political identities. This enriches the whole Intramuros experience. One notable identity is Reproduction of views or ideas. Discourse is also then consumed as well for while being around such a fine historical place, words really don’t cater as much compared to social meanings surrounding it.
